Lanae’s Gourds & Kreations began over twenty years ago when my grandfather gave me my first gourd. In 2005, I planted my first crop which provided over 4000 gourds in one season. The gourds take several months to dry depending on the size. The next step is to scrub them with bleach water. Once that is complete, I can begin to carve, paint and clear coat them. Decorating the gourds is the final step. I had my first craft show by 2007 and have being enjoying it ever since.
